ANTEA Cement celebrates “1,000 Days without accidents”

ANTEA Cement is pleased to celebrate ‘1,000 Days without accident’ which is an important event for the plant as one if its significant achievement since the operation in 2010. Providing a healthy and safe working environment for all our direct and indirect employees at all our operations and locations is among the highest priorities. Our vision is to achieve a healthy working environment free of incidents, injuries and accidents. Our goal is to have zero fatalities and zero serious accidents. This event is the outcome of endless efforts and disciplined work by the company itself, own employees and contractors.
This event was saluted by Minister of Welfare and Youth, Mr. Erion Veliaj who said thathe is pleased that ANTEA Cement has put as priority the safety of its employees’ life above the profit of the company and there is a strong solidarity that employees have for each other through the consolidated community present in the company. Furthermore he added that the achievement of 1,000 days without accidents is a success story in our country. The Chief Inspector of Labor Inspectorate also present at the event, Mr. Dritan Ylli expressed that ANTEA Cement is a good company regarding the respect and application of procedures and policies related to Health & Safety.
The company has been certified with OHSAS 18001, an Occupational Health and Safety management system which governs all the activities undertaken at our premises through procedures and policies. In addition, the company has continuously persuaded to build a culture of safety among employees and contractors through trainings and activities. On the other side, the employees and contractors have successfully and rigorously respected the policies in place and conducted their daily work under previously established rules and procedures. The company wishes the continuation of this success to many other days without accidents.
